Hogarth: Pouring Scorn On His Fellows

William Hogarth, one of the great names in English eighteenth century art, produced many satirical depictions of the life of his time. Our speaker, Dr Angela Smith, gives an overview of Hogarth’s career, focussing on works in which he epitomised those he saw around him.

The talk, followed by the Society’s AGM, is at the 37 Club, Woolavington at 2:00pm on Wednesday 7th February: guest admission £8.
